A new study shows that chiropractic treatments may significantly lower the risk of repeat lumbar surgeries. Chiropractic care can reduce the need for future back surgeries through restoring proper spinal motion to promote long-term health and prevent future issues. Dr. Hall of Hall Chiropractic observes, “We’re not just treating symptoms, we’re fostering an environment for the body to heal and function optimally.”

1. Preventive Spinal Mobility: At Hall Chiropractic we emphasize the importance of proper spinal mobility. Spinal joint fixations, also known as subluxations, can lead to various spinal related issues such as pain, degeneration and nerve damage. Through spinal adjustments and other therapies Dr. Hall aims to restore proper mobility, alleviating pain and preventing the progression of conditions that might require surgical intervention. 1.
2. Adjacent Segment Degeneration: Auto injuries, falls and sometimes simple wear and tear can necessitate spinal surgical fusion. An unfortunate result of this procedure is the transfer of mobility stress from the fused area to adjacent joints and discs. This can lead to a cascading effect called Adjacent Segment Degeneration (ASD), leading to more fusion surgery. Dr. Hall has over 3 decades of experience in minimizing ASD by promoting mobility in these surrounding joints through safe spinal adjustments and other mobilization techniques.
3. Pain Management: Chiropractic care often involves techniques to manage pain, such as manual manipulation, massage, and stretching exercises. By addressing pain at its source, chiropractic care helps patients avoid more invasive solutions like surgery. 2.
4. Patient Education and Lifestyle Modifications: Chiropractors often educate patients on maintaining a healthy lifestyle including exercises, nutrition and ergonomic practices. By making positive lifestyle changes, individuals can reduce the likelihood of developing chronic back conditions that could eventually lead to surgery. 3.
